It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When the first night of Ramadan comes, the satans and mischievous jinns are chained up, and the gates of the Fire are closed, and none of its gates are opened. The gates of Paradise are opened, and none of its gates are closed. And a caller cries out: ‘O seeker of good, proceed, O seeker of evil, stop.’ And Allah has necks (people) whom He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every day.” – Ibn Majah

Alhamdulillah, Ramadan is a great blessing and opportunity to come closer to Allah and closer to each other. I encourage myself and everyone to focus their attention on prayer, fasting, recitation of the Quran, and sadaqah. While doing all this, the question and focus should be whether Allah will accept this from me. If we are sincere, follow the Sunnah, and do things in ways that are pleasing to Allah, we should have the best hope and expectations from Allah. I pray to Allah he makes us among those that are freed from the fire of hell and entered into jannatul Firdaws during Ramadan. Ameen.
